Jeremy entered into the insurance industry in 2005; following the footsteps of his Mother who has worked in the industry for over 30 years. His love of working with people and finding solutions to problems first peaked his interest at a young age. After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Kansas State University and Letourneau University, Jeremy entered the industry he knew he was always destined for. Over the last 10 years, Jeremy worked for Hilb Rogal and Hobbs where he developed his insurance knowledge placing insurance for commercial accounts ranging from small business owners to national and international accounts. HRH was later acquired in 2008 by the 3rd largest insurance broker in the world, Willis. Jeremy continued working for Willis until finally realizing his lifelong dream of purchasing his own agency early in 2014. Today, he focuses on all lines of insurance that the agency offers. His favorite part of the day is visiting with his team and clients that walk through the door.
When not procuring insurance, Jeremy enjoys spending time with his wife, Claire, and their young daughters Lucy and Rosie. Cooking, working on projects around the house, and enjoying time with friends and family are also very important. He is actively involved in the community by serving as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the East Texas Crisis Center, Board Member for Ubank which is a large community bank, as well as attending Marvin Methodist Church in Tyler. With any free time, Jeremy is continually thinking of ways to improve the agency for his clients and make it the best place to work with his team.
Claire Cozad, co-owner and married to Jeremy, focuses on the Cozad Insurance Group marketing, advertising and community events. Claire graduated from TCU with a marketing and management, then later got her teaching certification from LeTourneau. She taught for 3 years, teaching 1st grade in Tyler ISD. Since then, she has helped in the family businesses. Claire works from home, enabling her to spend more time with their children.
Claire grew up in Athens and made the daily commute to attend All Saints, along with 2 suburban loads of other commuting students. Claire and Jeremy now live in Tyler with their two girls, Lucy (age 8) and Rose (age 4). The Cozad’s attend Marvin United Methodist and volunteer there by teaching Bible Study, as well as serving on multiple committees. During Claire’s free time, she enjoys playing tennis, volunteering at her girls school, gardening and being with family.
Scott graduated with a B.S. in History from the University of Texas at Tyler. Scott has deep ties to East Texas as he is originally from Troup, but now resides in Flint with his beautiful wife, Jean, and their French bulldog “Boo”. They are very active in the community and can find them either attending or volunteering in various local events. When not at work he enjoys spending time outdoors hunting and attempting to be a grill master, but you can mostly find him on the golf course.
Christina has worked in the insurance industry for the last 9 years. She first began her career in a captive agency and then later transitioned to a general agency. She was encouraged by her mother, who retired after 26 years in the insurance business. Christina is passionate about helping her clients obtain the best coverage for their needs as well as continuing that relationship with excellent customer service.
Christina was born in Tucson, Arizona and is a 5th generation graduate of Lindale High School. She graduated from Kilgore College School of Cosmetology in 2009 as an Esthetician. She has two children, Claire and Colby, who are both now students at Lindale. Christina stays busy with her children’s activities and is thankful for this season of motherhood.
Kelli began her career in insurance in 2009 by accident after 8 years in banking. She worked for one of the top captive agencies where she earned CSR of the month 15 out of 18 months. After moving to an independent agency, she found that is where she fits best with her outgoing personality. She is very much a people person and loves working with a fun group, which is exactly what she found at Cozad Insurance Group. She loves helping people and learning about their lives. Kelli wants to make sure her clients are covered properly and understand what their Personal Lines insurance covers.
Kelli grew up in Lubbock and moved to East Texas in 1995. She has resided in Brownsboro, TX since 2005 with her husband Gary and 2 sons Lukas and Lance. She also owns a small sign shop at her home that she likes to create things in her spare time along with her family.
Keith has been a commercial insurance agent since Jan 2003 and has a passion for helping business owners as a trusted advisor for all of their insurance needs.
Keith graduated college from Stephen F Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas with a degree in Business Administration. In 2009 Keith earned his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) Designation. CIC’s are recognized in the insurance industry for their expertise and commitment to their profession.
Keith moved to Tyler in 2014. Keith enjoys cooking, traveling and serving in ministry. Keith is a member of First Baptist Church Tyler and is a facilitator for Generous Church in Tyler.
Jonathan brings over 20 years of experience in the ranching and agriculture industry to assist with Farm and Ranch insurance needs as well as commercial lines. His outgoing personality and knowledge of the industry make him a great fit for the insurance business. When he is not in the office or meeting clients, Jonathan manages a 1500 acre working cow ranch and is a professional cutting horse trainer. Jonathan grew up in the small farming town of Cash, Texas and has always spent his time outdoors either training horses, running cows, or enjoying his many hobbies of hunting, fishing, and newly acquired obsession- golfing. Having lived in the New Harmony area for over 10 years, he appreciates the close knit community and feels at home here with his wife and 5 year old daughter, Avery. A true jack of all trades, in his little downtime you can find Jonathan playing the guitar and the piano or even picking up a paintbrush and some acrylics. He is an active member of Dayspring United Methodist Church and supports various philanthropic organizations such as the American Cancer Society, Texas Wounded Warrior Foundation, and Parental Care Ministries.

Deanna came into the insurance industry in 2005. After being a stay at home mom for 11 years, she decided to enter the work force. Aspiring to utilize her outgoing personality and need to assist individuals, it didn’t take long to realize that this was the field for her.
Having a passion for helping clients and being part of a unique team where service to clients is top priority, Cozad Insurance Group was the place for her. Deanna is the Lindale location manager, personal lines department manager, along with dabbling in some of the marketing. In 2019 Deanna received the Agents Distinction Award from Safeco (Liberty Mutual). This award is given to the top 150 producers in the world.
Although Deanna grew up in the big city of Ft. Worth, she enjoys residing in the small town of Van, TX. Where she raised her 3 children MaCayla, Jasiee, and Alexzader. She now enjoys focusing on and facetiming with her 2 daughter and Grandsons Maverick and Ranger as they reside in Montana. She looks forward to her summer visits there as she doesn’t do the snow.
Abby Wroten is a newcomer to the insurance world, but she is not a newcomer when it comes to developing relationships with clients. At Cozad Insurance group we pride ourselves on exceptional customer service, thus having someone like Abby join us, adds value to the customer service team.
For the past 17 years, Abby has worked with the public in many capacities. In 2014, Abby’s passion for fitness and well-being led her to become a certified personal trainer through one of the country’s most accredited certification programs. Her personal struggles, give her an insight into the fitness industry that few personal trainers are privy too. As a result, she is able to form genuine relationships and build trust with her clients. Through her continued education and training, Abby’s abilities to connect with her clients is second to none.
Abby is a self-driven individual that will blossom where she is planted. This self-driven mentality has allowed Abby to reach a high position in her previous retail management jobs and begin a successful mobile spray tanning business.
Abby is a native to East Texas and enjoys shopping, dancing and listening to live Texas Country Music. Abby and her family live in Van, Texas and she loves to support her Van Vandals!
Phyllis began her career in the insurance industry in 1984. For many years she was a dedicated member of the Tyler Association of Insurance Professionals. She served as Treasurer and on various committees. She was also a member of the Federation Of Insurance Women of Texas, where she met lifelong friends. During her spare time, she loves to spend time with her grandchildren, and travel with her husband, Winn.
Betsy and her family moved to Tyler in 1988, the same year that she joined R.L. Caton Company (now Cozad Insurance Group). With nearly 30 years serving many of the same customers, she has built many longstanding relationships. Betsy graduated from the University of Oklahoma, where she met her husband, Jeff. They have two children, Sarah & Joseph. Betsy and Jeff are members at Marvin United Methodist and attend the New Life class. She enjoys baking, gardening and ‘junking’. A highlight is repurposing items, as well as her booth at a shop in Whitehouse. Betsy loves going to the beach and having her toes in the sand!
